We’ll need to power-down the property but we’ll provide a temporary supply to essential items like fridges, freezers and chair lifts (if required). Ideally, we’ll need access to all room to check sockets and electrical items.
If the CU is further than two meters away from the main water and gas supplies, we’ll quote for installing the bonding and arrange a convenient time to complete.
Replacing your CU won’t resolve any existing wiring issues there may be. RCDs are more sensitive and trip if there are issues. This safety feature picks up faults that older units simply won’t warn you about. If the new CU trips after installation, our team at Cre8 Electricity will investigate the cause and recommend a way to resolve the issue.
